Project II proposal

Continue with the project one, after I got the first project feedback. I decide just made things ‘step by step’ will probably more reasonable than what I thought for the first project idea. I will at first make it and scale it smaller than what I used to thought. It basically a social networking website which consider ‘people’ and ‘object’ at the same time. First, the users collect and share their same interest with other people online. As sharing the common interest, trying to make them interactive with each other is quite important. So I will have a group (seems like forum) for each group member who get interest in something. And they can do sharing idea and talk on that platform. That is what my aim at right now. Because I am new to the website design, and all the below technology part is just after I have browse the website and codeacademy to get the basic idea about the whole structure for a real website page should have. I will talk with tutor, students or teacher more about that after hand in this proposal to get some recommendation from them.

The basic and the core language for building this website will be HTML, CSS for its framework and JavaScript to add little interactive function on the website. There are also lots of HTML and CSSs frameworks like Twitter Bootstrap or Yahoo! Pure. After you download their framework and by looking tutorial online or just test with their CSS in your html files, and its responsive website design feature also makes the website good looking on any screen device. There is lot of users suggest to choose Python for the common gateway interface. As Python is not only a good programming language, compare with PHP as a very mature language can probably be simple and easy to use. It plays a role in a variety of network tasks, both on the server side and on the client side. For web development, it also have web application framework like Django. As I intend to have some social networking feature, maybe have a look some powerful open source social networking engine like ‘elgg.’ ‘Drupal’. Those engine include the social network module to have look and can provide the framework and Plug-in for the developer.
